ABOUT ACCEP, INC.

Program Description

 ACCEP, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) cultural exchange and service learning program that brings together high school students of African descent from underserved communities in Ghana, West Africa and the U.S. to promote mutual understanding, increase travel and tourism, leadership and development skills, and prepare youth to make a difference in their local and global communities.

With in-person and virtual exchange programs, ACCEP, Inc. participants will engage in experiential learning activities through international travel to West African countries, service learning projects in local communities, community building and engagement, leadership and development skills, volunteerism, and emotional and mental awareness. ACCEP, Inc. programs provide 100% sponsorship for those who qualify.

  • To provide opportunities for youth from underserved communities to participate in international cultural exchange experiences and travel to Africa (and abroad, for African students)

  • To foster relationships between youth of Africa and the diaspora

  • To encourage volunteerism and service learning in local communities and abroad

  • To understand similarities and differences between youth in Africa and the descendants abroad
